For decades, Transitech, Inc. has served the rail industry from its facility in Fordyce, Arkansas, providing full-service railcar repair and maintenance with a commitment to quality workmanship, responsive service, and safe operations.

Since 1992, Transitech has been operated by Bud Morgan, whose leadership helped establish the company’s reputation for dependable service and industry expertise. Over more than three decades, that commitment to Quality, Service, Safety, and Efficiency has remained at the heart of the Transitech operation.

Today, Transitech begins a new chapter.

Transitech, Inc. has been acquired by Jonathan and Kelli Stahl, founders and owners of Red River Coatings in Texarkana, Texas, a railcar service company they established in 2005. The acquisition represents not simply a change in ownership, but a passing of the baton from one experienced, family-owned rail business to another—with a shared commitment to the customers and industry they serve.

Jonathan Stahl began his career in the railcar repair industry in 1987, bringing more than 39 years of hands-on rail industry experience to Transitech. Together, Jonathan and Kelli bring more than 20 years of experience as rail-service business owners, having built and operated Red River Coatings since 2005. Jonathan's background spans decades of railcar repair, technical knowledge, operational leadership, customer service, and business ownership—experience that will help guide Transitech's operations and continued growth.

Kelli Stahl brings an equally important depth of experience to Transitech through her leadership in quality assurance and regulatory compliance. As co-founder and owner of Red River Coatings, Kelli has helped lead the company since its founding in 2005 while also serving as its Director of Quality Assurance. With 21 years of quality assurance experience in the railcar maintenance industry, she has developed extensive expertise in Association of American Railroads (AAR) requirements, certifications, and quality standards. Her experience provides Transitech with seasoned leadership in an area that is fundamental to every aspect of railcar maintenance—ensuring that work is performed safely, consistently, and in accordance with applicable industry requirements. Under Kelli’s leadership, quality assurance, AAR compliance, and the continued strength of the company’s certifications will remain central priorities at Transitech.

As Transitech moves forward under the Stahls' leadership, the goal is to build upon the foundation established in Fordyce—not replace it. The experience, capabilities, and relationships developed at Transitech over the years will be strengthened by the additional industry knowledge and resources the Stahls bring from Red River Coatings.

It is a new chapter for Transitech, but the principles remain familiar: do the work right, operate safely, stand behind the service, and earn the trust of every customer.

With decades of railcar experience behind its new ownership and an established team and facility in Fordyce, Transitech is positioned to continue serving the rail industry while expanding its capabilities for the future.
