Full-Service Tank Car Repair. AAR-Certified. Built on Trust.

At Transitech Inc., we don't just repair railcars — we restore them to a standard that keeps your fleet safe, compliant, and running. Our Fordyce, Arkansas facility is certified under the Association of American Railroads' M-1002 Quality Assurance program, meaning our people, processes, and workmanship are independently audited against the industry's toughest benchmark. When you send a car to Transitech, you're not taking our word for it — you're relying on a certification the entire rail industry recognizes and trusts.

Our scope of work covers a tank car from the shell to the stub sill, so customers can consolidate repairs with a single, reliable partner instead of juggling multiple shops.

What we're certified to do:

- Tank Shell Repair & Modification — structural maintenance and modification of tank car tanks, plus full tank qualification and requalification services.
- Safety System Service — maintenance, modification, and qualification of tank car safety systems, so pressure relief and safety-critical components perform when it matters.
- Stub Sill Repair & Qualification — maintenance, alteration, and qualification of tank car stub sills, one of the most critical structural connections on the car.
- Service Equipment & Fittings — maintenance, removal, and replacement of tank car service equipment, including valves, fittings, gaskets, and leakage testing.
- Interior Linings & Coatings — removal, installation, and ongoing qualification/maintenance of interior linings and coatings, protecting tank interiors from the commodities they carry.
- Broad Steel Group Qualifications — certified to work across Group 1 (including TC-128) and Group 3 tank car steels, giving us the range to service a wide variety of fleets.

Fully Certified. Fully Mobile.

Transitech is fully certified across every service line above — and that certified expertise doesn't stop at our shop doors. Our Mobile Repair Unit (MRU) brings the same qualified technicians, equipment, and standards directly to your railcars, wherever they are. Whether a car is down at a customer facility, a rail yard, or somewhere in between, our MRU lets us perform repairs on-site, cutting downtime and transport costs without cutting any corners on quality or safety.

Driven by Accredited Expertise

Every certification listed above was earned through a formal AAR Tank Car Committee audit — not self-reported, and not a one-time badge. It's renewed on a recurring basis, which means our quality and safety practices are continually verified, not just promised.

Whether you need a single repair, an ongoing maintenance partner for your fleet, or an on-site response from our Mobile Repair Unit, Transitech combines certified expertise, disciplined quality control, and a safety-first culture to get your railcars back in service with confidence.
